France, Italy and Brazil: Programmes for Dedicated Solar Heating and Cooling Conferences

Solar thermal professionals who have taken an interest in solar district heating, in solar air conditioning or the Brazilian solar thermal market will be able to participate in dedicated conferences over the next months, namely the 3rd International Solar District Heating Conference in Toulouse, France, on 17-18 June, the 6th International Conference on Solar Air Conditioning in Rome, Italy, from 24-25 September and the 3rd Brazilian Solar Heating Congress in São Paulo, Brazil, between 2-3 September. All three events have already released their conference programme.

International Solar District Heating Conference: The one-and-a-half-day conference in Toulouse will offer a mix of topics from technology, business and markets. The first day will focus on case studies of existing solar district heating and cooling projects. On the second day, industry representatives are going to speak about the latest developments in collector technology for large-size fields. The closing session will consist of a panel discussion with stakeholders from associations and industries (find the complete programme attached). The conference language is English. Registration can be made online. The standard conference fee is 390 EUR until 9 June; from 10 June on, late bookers will have to pay an additional 30 % handling fee.
International Conference on Solar Air-Conditioning: The two-day conference is going to present the latest developments in both solar thermal as well as photovoltaic air conditioning systems and technologies. Attendees will talk about optimised components, as well as simulation, monitoring, maintenance and costs. 29 speakers from 13 countries are going to share their insights into improved system design and technology advancements. The schedule also includes 18 poster presentations (find the complete programme attached). The conference language is English. Registration can be made online. The standard fee amounts to EUR 740 until 10 August and to EUR 780 EUR if booked after this date.
Brazilian Solar Heating Congress: The two-day conference will be organised by DASOL, the Solar Heating Department of the Brazilian Association of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Ventilation and Heating, ABRAVA, in cooperation with Solar Promotion, the organisers of Intersolar South America. The different sessions are going to cover all applications relevant to solar thermal on the Brazilian market, such as social housing, swimming pools and multi-family buildings. Certification will certainly be a major topic, since the Brazilian Labelling Programme is going to become mandatory this September. The conference language is Portuguese. The second day will mostly revolve around niche markets like solar process heat and concentrate on presenting successful case studies. Registration for individual sessions or the entire two-day conference can be made online on the website of Intersolar South America.
