Prosol: Successful grant and credit programme in Tunisia

The grant programme Prosol II started 2005 in Tunisia and increased the market volume of solar water heaters tenfold within some years. Then in 2009 Prosol was opened for hotels, hamams (Turkish baths), academic houses and hospitals and in 2013 Prosol Industry was started. In 2017 the programme was extended until 2020.

Residential buildings:
up to TND 200 for SWH with 200 litres and up to TND 400 for SWH with 300 litres .The rest of SWH investment will be divided into a credit grant (that will be paid through the electricity bill) and a contribution of the costumer. 

Commercial buildings:
grant covering 70 % of the cost of the conception (up to TND 30,000) and a national grant covering 30 % of the investment cost of the system (up to 250 TND/m2)
