Dear Solarthermalworld.org Reader,
Quality
assurance is advancing in Latin America: Brazil is going to implement
compulsory certification of solar water heating equipment in 2015.
Uruguay, Argentina, Chile and Mexico have already had laboratories for
testing, and Costa Rica has recently set up one. The next step should be
the creation of a technical committee to run an inter-laboratory Round
Robin test for solar water heaters. This was one of the conclusions of a
Regional Forum with 50 experts from 14 countries. The forum took place
in Costa Rica at the end of June within the framework of the project Quality Infrastructure for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Have a good read and sunny regards
