Making Solar Simple (2009)
This presentation was created by the Sierra Club. It covers a number of topics relating to solar thermal, including where in the US is there the best conditions, applications, designs, and the technology that goes into specific solar thermal projects.
Solar thermal water heating is feasible throughout the United States, with the south east portions having the best conditions and most potential. Active systems are the most commonly used form of solar thermal water heating in various settings, and can be used for low, medium or high temperature applications. The presentation then covers the various tools and mechanic devises that enable solar thermal applications to be installed. This is a good presentation for anyone who is interested in seeing various examples of solar thermal in use in detail.
