This information guide was published by the solar energy company Sunmaxx. It provides information on different solar thermal systems, technology, and their various applications.
According to the guide, American homes spend 40% of their total energy bill on hot water and home heating. The guide covers how solar thermal can be used to heat water for domestic use, commercial use, and also public use. These applications can be accomplished through either open loop or closed loop and active or passive systems. The guide closes by covering the different parts of a solar thermal system such as the heat exchanger and the collector, and then moving on to how to best angle the solar thermal installation.
