This presentation was created by American Solar Energy. It covers some of the various technologies of solar thermal, its applications, and the benefits of solar thermal to consumers and the environment.
Solar thermal has been used throughout history in less advanced forms that today, but by using the same essential principles. Evacuated tubes and flat plat collectors are the two most common collectors in use today, and they can be used in both residential and commercial setting, as well as for pool heating. Consumers are choosing solar thermal because of the long term savings on energy they create and their ability to reduce carbon emissions.
